These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of Verflux ("the Platform", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using any part of Verflux, you agree to be bound by these terms. Please read them carefully before proceeding.
Verflux is designed for researchers, clinicians, academics, and healthcare professionals conducting systematic reviews and meta-analyses. You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement. If you are using Verflux on behalf of an institution, you represent that you have the authority to bind that institution to these terms.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. You must not share your account with others or allow unauthorised access. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately at support@verflux.app if you suspect unauthorised access.
Each paid plan is licensed to a single primary user. Collaboration features allow invited co-reviewers to access specific projects — this does not transfer the licence.
Verflux offers a free trial and three paid plans (Starter, Professional, Unlimited). All paid plans are one-time, lifetime payments — there are no recurring charges or subscription fees. You pay once and your access never expires.
You agree to use Verflux only for lawful research purposes. You must not:
You retain full ownership of all research data, project content, extracted data, and analyses you create within Verflux. We do not claim any ownership over your research outputs.
You grant us a limited licence to store and process your data solely to provide the platform services to you. We do not use your research data for any commercial purpose, advertising, or training of machine learning models.
You are responsible for ensuring that your use of imported literature data (titles, abstracts, full texts) complies with the terms of the databases from which they originated.
All statistical formulas implemented in Verflux have been verified against primary published references (Borenstein et al., 2009; DerSimonian & Laird, 1986; Hedges & Olkin, 1985; Egger et al., 1997). However, Verflux is a computational tool and does not replace expert statistical judgement. You are responsible for verifying that the methods you select are appropriate for your research question and data.
We make no warranty that the outputs produced by Verflux will be accepted by any particular journal, institution, or regulatory body.
We aim to maintain Verflux with high availability but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. Planned maintenance will be communicated in advance where possible. We reserve the right to modify, update, or discontinue features of the platform, but will not remove core functionality from accounts that have been paid for without reasonable notice.
We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. Continued use of the platform after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. Material changes will be communicated by email.
The Verflux platform, its interface design, software, and methodology documentation are the intellectual property of the Verflux development team. Nothing in these terms grants you any right to use our trademarks, logos, or brand materials without prior written consent.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Verflux and its team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform — including loss of data, loss of research outputs, or decisions made based on platform outputs.
Our total liability for any claim relating to the platform shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or $50 USD, whichever is greater.
You may delete your account at any time from your dashboard. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms of Use, with or without notice. In the event of termination for cause, no refund will be issued. In the event of termination by us without cause, a pro-rated refund will be considered.
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable international commercial law. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation, and if unresolved, through binding arbitration.
For questions about these Terms of Use, please contact us at support@verflux.app or through our contact form.
